Le Laboratoire d'Atargatis

The Atargatis Laboratory is an interactive & immersive experience exploring the journey of “Atargatis,” a transhuman creature navigating the cosmos in search of new habitable planets. This digital voyage invites participants to engage with the logbook and experiments of this futuristic explorer, reflecting on human expansion and the consequences of our actions on different ecosystems. The installation aims to explore the tension between human ambition and the ethical responsibilities of our technological advancements.

Developed using TouchDesigner, Stable Diffusion and more, the artwork transforms the space into a post-Anthropocene laboratory. Participants interact with the installation through a variety of sensors, microphone, Touch Screen and midi controllers. These tools enable the audience to shape the narrative and experiments in real-time, fostering an engaging, embodied connection between humans and technology.
